Arctic Explorers-- Inspired by "The Very Very Far North"

There are no flowers in sight yet this spring so we might as well embrace it and have more fun in the snow. Come join us for an arctic adventure up near Tumalo Falls at our VERY VERY snowy location on Tumalo Creek. Drop your child off and have breakfast with friends, go on a day-date, or run some errands kid-free!

Audacity Life Learning is a local business specializing in bringing literature to life for children and families. We will do hands on STEM and Art activities out in nature to bring this book to life! We'll build igloos, learn about the Inuit, do some snowy science, and have a blast. Your child will have lots of fun whether they've read the book or not, but they will get the most out of the experience if they have started reading (or having read to them) the delightful book The Very Very Far North, by Dan Bar-el and Illustrated by Kelly Pousette. 

This darling chapter book is great as a family read aloud before bed or for your 8-12 year old's independent reading. It is the gentle, sweet story of a friendly bear-- think Winnie the Pooh turned polar bear. It's a story of friendship, so what better way to bring it to life than with friends!  Children ages 6-12 can be dropped off. Children under 6 are still welcome to attend with a parent buddy remaining with them. 

And don't worry if you don't see snow in town. We have feet of it up here ready to be enjoyed!
